Polewali Mandar, - Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi is known for its various natural attractions. One of them is the Limbong Sitodo natural bathing place, in Anreapi District. When the holiday season arrives, Limbong Sitodo is often crowded with visitors both local and outside the region.
Natural panorama and the coolness of the river water from the mountain springs, become the attraction of the tourist attractions. Not to mention the expanse of rocks between the river flow, beautiful trees, and cool air. When this place is often the location for shooting video clips of Mandar region songs.
The location is also quite strategic, only six kilometers from Polewali City with a half hour travel time. From Pekkabata Central Market about seven kilometers, while from Tipalayo Land Transport Terminal is 10 kilometers. But there are no public vehicles passing through the area.
It is not free from steep road conditions and has not been fully covered with asphalt. So that visitors are advised to rent a car to visit there. When renting a motorcycle, the price is around Rp. 25 thousand.
Unfortunately, the tourism potential of the Limbong Sitodo River does not receive maximum attention from the government. It was proven that the facilities that had been built there did not get good care, for example surau, bathroom, to the dirty, porous, and filled with weeds of visitors.
Even so, three gazebo units used to beautify the attraction. Now it's gone somewhere. These conditions also gradually make visitors reluctant to the tourist attractions. "Nearly the last three years there was no more visitor activity," said Head of the People's Welfare Section (Kasi Kesra) of Anreapi Village Muhammad Ridwan, last Thursday, September 12.
Ridwan said that the lack of visitors was not only due to the lack of tourist facilities. However, visitors were disturbed by land disputes around the bathing location. The land is problematic after being used as a parking lot for tourists.
Abdul Rahman, one of the residents of Anreapi, said that the area of land disputed by residents reached one hectare. He also hopes that the Polman Government will immediately find a solution so that visitors' activities will be excited again. "Hopefully there is a way out of the government."
