The Polewali Mandar Regency Government issued a refocusing or change in the budget allocation for handling Covid-19 in the amount of Rp 20 billion. Nevertheless the details of the use of the budget have not been submitted to the DPRD Polewali Mandar. That's what made DPRD Chairperson Polman Jupri Mahmud question the existence of the details of the budget. "We as members of the DPRD in carrying out the oversight function ask for details of the budget. Anything that is shifted so that there is a budget of Rp 20 billion," Jufri said when confirmed via the Whatsaap application, Tuesday, April 14.
Previously, the Regent of Polman, Andi Ibrahim Masdar said the refocusing fund for handling Covid-19 in Polman was Rp 20 billion. This budget will be used to add to the previously prepared fund of Rp 2.5 billion. Ibrahim said the refocusing fund was taken from the entire official travel costs of the Polman District Government Organization (OPD), "That does not include the DPRD if they want to cut their official travel for three months," said Andi Ibrahim.
Nevertheless, Jufri hopes that the refocusing fund will be allocated to the people affected by the economy due to Covid-19. For example, public transportation drivers, motorcycle taxi drivers, and rickshaws. This is in accordance with Minister of Home Affairs' circular Tito Karnavian so that the refocusing budget is for the affected groups. "We do not intend to blame but remind each other of helping our people to be considered especially those whose economic impact is due to Covid-19," said Jupri.
