TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -- A general chairman of a political party is reportedly hit by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPT) Operation in East Java.
The information was justified by the East Java Regional Police. The East Java Regional Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Frans Barung Mangera, confirmed the existence of OTT by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in his area.
Barung explained, one of the chairmen of the political party was arrested and is now undergoing an examination at the East Java Police Headquarters. "The information is correct, but asked the KPK," he said when contacted on Friday, March 15, 2019.

The examination carried out by the KPK at the East Java Regional Police Headquarters after the arrest will determine whether the parties secured in OTT will be determined to be suspects or released.
The KPK has 1 x 24 hours after the arrest to ensure the legal status of the parties secured in OTT. Those who are designated as suspects will usually be immediately detained. Until this news was written, the KPK had not confirmed the matter regarding the OTT incident.
