Preventing Pilkada Clusters, KPU Majene Immediately Distributes APD

Majene, Sulbarkita.com - Ahead of the 2020 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) in Majene, the General Election Commission (KPU) of Majene Regency equips the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Majene KPU commissioner Zulkarnain Hasanuddin said APD would be distributed to 2940 KPPS people in all polling stations ahead of voting day on December 9, 2020.

"The PPE that was distributed was in the form of hazmat clothes, masks, Face Shield (face cover), hand sanitizer (hand washing liquid), and gloves," said Zulkarnain when met at his office Monday, November 23, 2020.

Zulkarnain explained that giving PPE is the KPU's effort to implement health protocols and prevent the emergence of Pilkada clusters in Majene. "Two hazmat suits are given at each TPS. This shirt is worn if there are voters who are indicated to have been exposed to Covid 19, "he said.

All KPU commissioners, said Zulkarnain, will also be swabbed in the near future. Meanwhile the staff will undergo a rapid test (rapid test). "In principle, the KPU wants to make people feel safe and comfortable when exercising their voting rights."
