Mamuju, Sulbarkita.com -- The Governor of West Sulawesi, Suhardi Duka held a meeting with six Regents throughout West Sulawesi to discuss the construction of People's Schools, in the oval room of the West Sulawesi Governor's office, Monday, March 24, 2025.
"In principle, each regent has prepared 5 hectares of land to build people's schools, the level is junior high school, priority at the Regency level," said Suhardi Duka.
According to Suhardi Duka, the West Sulawesi Provincial Government has also provided around five hectares of land for the construction of People's Schools at the high school level. He said that in the near future the project proposal will be sent to the Ministry of Social Affairs to get full support.
"This is our effort to break the chain of poverty. This People's School is specifically for abandoned and underprivileged children. They will be fostered through boarding, fully funded, and receive quality education," said Suhardi Duka.
Suhardi Duka ensured that the People's School will provide the best education for students. "In the end, they will become educated and capable people and can decide the poverty rate," he said.
