Mamuju Tengah, Sulbarkita.com -- Head of the West Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office Darmawel Azwar said that as many as 54 villages in Central Mamuju Regency have not been able to disburse their budgets until now. Though they have received funding from the government of Rp 574.9 billion since early 2020.
"This budget disbursement was originally started at the beginning of the year," Darmawel said while providing legal counseling on guidelines, distribution and use of Village Fund Allocation (ADD) and Village Funds (DD) in the Central Mamuju Regent's Office Hall (Mateng), Friday, February 21 2020.
Darmawel did not mention the reason for the delay in the use of the village budget. But he hopes that village officials will immediately disburse by prioritizing improvements in labor-intensive sectors, post-harvest farmers' conditions, and industries that absorb labor.

The former Legal Director of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) also appealed for the use of village funds to be managed properly based on their designation for the welfare of the local community. The Head of the Badam Office for the Development of Financial Supervision and Development (BPKP) of the West Sulawesi Representative, Hasiloan Manalu suggested that village officials use the Village Finance System (Siskeudes) application. "This application facilitates the management and allocation of village funds and other programs," said Hasiloan, who was also present at the event.
