Dialog Kebangsaan Menangkal Radikalisme Masuk Kampus/ Sulbarkita.com-Ashari

Majene, Sulbarkita.com -- Ansor Youth Movement (GP) of the West Sulawesi Region held a national dialogue titled Counteracting Radicalism Entering Campus. The discussion was held because academics were suspected of having contracted this understanding.

"This movement is suspected to have infiltrated academics, so students must take precautionary steps and find out the characteristics of the understanding earlier," said the Chairperson of the North Sumatra Regional Ansor GP, Sudirman AZ, at one of the Cafes in Majene, Friday, 30 August 2019.

According to him, one of the births of the terrorist movement began from the thought that it is very easy to disbelieve other people, easy to breed someone's amalia or a certain group and easily label someone going to hell if they don't agree with them.

"Ansor youth movement in general, both the central and branch leaders are very concerned about this condition. So we initiated this activity to open a space for communication and socializing, especially students to avoid radical studies," he said.

Students as intellectual circles whose instincts are looking for their true identity may study various understandings and studies of Science. But Sudirman hopes that students can examine and seek the truth of an opinion through a variety of reliable sources.

"All the movements that we encounter in the field should be sought by the truth by looking at examples and various sources. Either through scholars or clerics who are considered to have knowledge of it," said Sudirman.

Majene Resort Police Chief (Kapolres), AKBP Asri Effendi said, to maintain security and order in the community, there needs to be a community participation itself. Because today, access to information is so broad and free. "The benefits and disadvantages are also in line with that," he said.

He said, radicalism is a person or group who wants change quickly. Various features of radicalism, among others, intolerance or do not want to respect the opinions of others, always feel right, exclusive, revolutionary and tend to separate themselves from the community in general.

"They were suddenly anti-social, always expressing suspicion and severing the relationship with the community at large. And tend not to like the understanding of moderate Islamic scholars and," said Asri.

He hopes that participation from all parties in tackling radicalism will spread in Majene. The Police will try to help educate the surrounding environment by looking at the characteristics of radicalism. "If found, tell us. We have emphasized that prevention is better than eradicating, we recognize the characteristics earlier, "said Asri.
