Mamuju, Sulbarkita.com -- A number of billboards containing images of the Mamuju Regent, Habsi Wahid and the Deputy Regent of Mamuju, Irwan Satya Putra Pababari, were badly damaged. For example billboards installed at the intersection of Jalan Pongtiku, Rimuku Village and on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Karema Village, Mamuju District. But the billboard was not yet known for the damage.
Even so, through the Facebook page Sobat Habsi Wahid uploaded a photo of a broken billboard in the Mamuju District Government (Pemkab) which was widely commented on by net residents on Saturday, February 8, 2020.
The billboard measuring about 3 x 2 meters was torn on the right side where Habsi Wahid's photo was. The tear almost eliminated half the body of the billboard. The dominant white billboard contains writing to continue construction.
Sulbarkita.com visited the office of the Regent of Mamuju, Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Binanga Village, Mamuju District, February 13, 2020. But the Regent of Mamuju, Habsi Wahid could not be found due to his busy schedule in office duties.
Spokesperson for Habsi Wahid, Herlin said, Habsi Wahid always puts forward positive thoughts responding to such matters. "You don't question that, he always thinks positively," he told Sulbarkita.com, who was met at the Mamuju Regent's office on Thursday.
Nevertheless Herlin said, Habsi had found out the information on broken billboards through social media accounts. However Habsi assessed that the damage was due to natural factors. "You said it was because of the wind or the tree, because it might have been weathered especially since it's the rainy season," he said.
Herlin stressed that Habsi Wahid did not think anyone would want to ruin the billboard. "If the suspicion of vandalism, you do not think up to there at all," he said.
