Elected by Acclamation, Suraidah is the Leader of the West Sulawesi Scout Movement

Mamasa, Sulbarkita.com -- Suraidah Suhardi was elected by acclamation as Chair of the Regional Kwartir (Kwarda) of the West Sulawesi (Sulbar) Scout Movement, 2023-2028 period. Suraidah, who replaced Polman Regent Andi Ibrahim Masdar, was appointed at the West Sulawesi Scout Movement Regional Conference (Musda) which took place in Mamasa Regency, Tuesday-Wednesday, 30-31 May 2023.

"This is a mandate that must be carried out as a bridge of dedication," said Suraidah after the Musda told reporters.

Suraidah, who also serves as Chair of the West Sulawesi DPRD, hopes for the support of all parties in advancing the West Sulawesi Scout Movement. "Of course I can't go alone, hoping for the support of all parties to bring Scouts in West Sulawesi to be better," he said.

The Musda Forum was quite tough, this happened because the Musda was postponed due to the dynamics of the forum related to membership. In addition, there were only 2 candidates whose letters of support were received, namely Suraidah and Andi Masri Masdar. Even so, the Musda forum appointed Suraidah as the new captain of the West Sulawesi Scout Movement.

"The dynamics of the forum are normal, we are still brothers, knitting together looking at the future scout movement, concluded Suraidah," said Suraidah.
