Polman, Sulbarkita.com -- Polewali Mandar District Chief (Polman), Andi Ibrahim Masdar finally responded to a demonstration by hundreds of voluntary nurses held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. According to him, he was not affected by the action.

"Not once again during a demo as long as I am the Regent, because I am not affected by the demonstration, it is not good to hold a demonstration," he told Sulbarkita.com, when met at the new building in Polman Regional General Hospital on Wednesday, March 27 2019.

Previously, voluntary nurses with the Polman Community Alliance (AMP) held a demonstration demanding decent wages, cancellation of unpaid recruitment of nurses and demanding the revocation of the decision to dismiss one of the voluntary nurses.

Andi Ibrahim also hoped that voluntary nurses would continue to work as usual, namely undergoing their routines to care for patients. He also appealed that all the problems he wanted to convey could be discussed properly.

"Children who work, just work. So I remind you again that the children who demo don't go to the hospital anymore, because then you don't have to work. Don't bother, "Ibrahim said.

In addition, the Regent two period explained that the recruitment of voluntary nurses at the Hospital had never been allocated a budget for payroll. However, voluntary nurse recruitment is not canceled, but the system will be corrected. "This is actually a miss communication. "One misinterprets acceptance, the other also accepts emotion," he said.

Therefore, Ibrahim has expressed his opinion to the Director of the RSUD that the acceptance of voluntary nurses does not need to be announced. Because even though it was not announced, there were many who registered. "That's not good, because you haven't come in, you've demanded. Is the name like and willing ?. I have told the director why did you open (the announcement)?, as long as we don't announce it, but many also enter," he said.

Responding to the threat of a strike by a number of voluntary nurses, Andi Ibrahim stressed that this would not disturb the patient's services at the Hospital. According to him, if there are 10 people on strike, there are 100 people who enter as voluntary nurses.

"So do not try to strike someone, I will get it right. I don't like these methods, don't take the way of people in Java and Mamuju. In Polman, how many people want to work, there are lots of queues," Ibrahim said.

Ibrahim continued, he had even confirmed to the Director of the Polman Regional Hospital, the Head of the Service and anyone that if there were voluntary children who were good at work then joined the demonstration, then the sanctions were fired. "Those who participated in the demonstrations just stopped, I don't like being dictated like that," he said firmly.

Ibrahim added, even though voluntary nurses do not have salary stipulations, they will still be given fees or labor costs. "But it is not possible to be accepted to work then there are no fees or fees, but it is not categorized as a salary," he said.

Nevertheless, Ibrahim claimed he would improve to improve the problem of hospital management with the culture of Sipakatau and Sipakalaqbiq. "We will fix the ones that are not good, if there are those that are not good, don't demo. Speak, because we have the culture of Mandar Sipakatau and Sipakalaqbiq, what's the trouble," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the return of voluntary nurses who were dismissed, Ibrahim explained that this was the authority of the Polman Hospital. Actually there is no need to have a problem, everything can be solved properly.

Confirmed separately, the Chairperson of the Indonesian Honorary Nurse National Movement (GNPHI) Branch of Polman, Rahmat said, currently his party is still referring to the results of a meeting with the Assistant III for Administrative and General Affairs of the Polman Regency Government, Kallang Marzuki and Head of the Civil Service Police Unit, Aco Djalaluddin.

According to Rahmat, both of them agreed that voluntary nurses who strike are guaranteed not to be subject to sanctions for dismissal. "We have a guarantee letter for voluntary nurses who have stamped strikes," Rahmat said.
